Cheer Squad Story
The original Team Spirit quilt was designed and created as a Christmas gift for a young Oregon Ducks fan. A few months ago, I received a request for a queen sized version, and here it is. Cheer Squad remains true to the original. I’ve resized in some areas, and added borders to further increase the size.
While developing the Team Spirit pattern, I realized an applique option was needed. I don’t have time to design appliqué patterns for every school and team out there, and I couldn’t sell them if I wanted to. Licensing is expensive!
The solution? Develop an easy, step-by-step applique tutorial to go with the pattern. Readily available, so everyone can create a modern, unique quilt to show off their team spirit. Done and done.
Due to licensing restrictions, this pattern does NOT include team-specific or school-specific patterns. Use the football helmet pattern provided, or follow the Easy Applique Tutorial to create your own patterns. Create patterns from schools and sports teams to superheros and princesses. You’re covered.
